I have wanted to do DIY before and after projects for a while and finally got around to it. I'm pretty excited with how it came out. And for a teaser, here is the next project:

In Progess: Crux 33/ Youth Group

I have been helping out at my church redesigning the interior space of the youth group, Crux 33. This room has been nicknamed "The Aux" (short for Auxiliary) and serves as a meeting place for teaching on Sunday mornings. I am very excited about how the room is progressing and hope to have more time soon to really pull things together. Above is what it looked like before: Below is what I am working on.

I am working a lot with reclaimed wood and stencils to achieve a sort of urban industrial/ nautical vibe.
This is a detail from the front of the stage.

I working on adding more graphic elements to this wall piece with Xylol and including a geometric wood structure that will extrude from the wall.

Halloween Costume

Lauren and I went as "adventure seekers"(for lack of a better title) inspired loosely by Wild Wild West, Uncharted, The Mummy, etc. The better photos aren't opening because i don't have the right plug-in for RAW files... i'll get them up soon. I'll get a detail of the gun too since that's what you are more interested in.

Thread Shelf

I built this a while back while puttering around in the woodshop. I thought it was a much more practical use of space as well as a good way to show off the thread.
